The only faction I will use trade points at all is United Provinces and I ignore trade points otherwise. Technology AND money together will buy provinces as long as it is the most worthless province of a faction. I do trade technologies based on turns to research for their value so my trade requests always give up one to three turns of research time for what I want. I do not care at all about the government infrastructure and leave it all at default as it handles itself. I do not usually change governments unless I want to play that campaign as another government form and I dont have revolutions unless I make them happen deliberately.

I have edited my turns to be four turns per year to enhance the long game.Д®very game I play is to control the entire world through eventual ownership of the entire world.

Last advice, if you use mods, in general dont! Mods which add to the game experience without trying to change the game such as the additional units mode, napoleon effects mod, and Total Faction mod (which is my exact mod combination) are fine. It is a modding tool for checking balancing and it will teach you as much about how the game plays as playing if you like watching. I might still have it on an old hard drive as I am a TW mod collector and tool collector even keeping older versions along with the newer versions. I dont know if it is still available, but there used to be a tool at that would remove the FOW and play without a player with the game total AI control. THIS IS ONLY ONE way to get to the long game and see what we all see. Playing through losses is how you get better and become better prepared taking you into a true long game. Losing a few armies or regions is not the end of the world.

Do not burn yourself out on pointless battles in other words.

Even stick with a game if you are not doing well and work your way into being outright defeated or out of the problems so you learn how to avoid them adapting your personal play style in the process.ДЄlso, if you have a clear victory with auto solve, unless you need to practice unit tactics, use the auto solve. Get the opinions of others and cherry pick what works for you and ALWAYS remember THIS GAME responds to YOU and YOUR choices and actions. THIS is my general play style and it is ONLY one of many options. Also, as an example, playing as Prussia and you do not want war also with Russia at that time, to declare war against Poland actually declare war against a client state. PLAN out your campaigns and expect the plans NOT to work as anticipated being prepared for being stabbed in the back by someone else. If someone declares war on you, do not accept peace and take them out as soon as you can or either ignore them if they cannot threaten you and when they come back wanting peace being ignored, do not grant it without your benefit. Play to set the example of being the nation everyone wants to agree with and not piss off. Standing alone starts slower, but it builds to more than any other stance. BUILD your dependability by staying away from alliances (outright and defensive) altogether.

When a trade of something is in your favor or at least equal benefit is where you want to trade. Do NOT pay for trade agreements as it takes too long to earn back your payment and the AI is likely to cut you short and want more payment to continue especially if you set precedent which also triggers other nations the same wants. All around, leave your taxes at default in beginning as raising them hurts more and more each turn and takes longer to recover. Pirates in the Americas are a good place no matter who you are but if you do these turn your lower class taxes down a notch to improve immigration and population growth. Lay back a little building support infrastructure to be able to support more armies. Play to play for your own goals and play the long game (set to either long or domination when you set up the game). GIVE YOUR ADVICE AND OPINION!ДЇorget the victory conditions. Just simply express YOUR game and play style. Do NOT try to tell me how you would defeat me as there is no way to prove one way or the other.
